What´s new on Netflix this January 2016. Rocky and Rambo leave

Sharkando_3
I know all of you will suscribe Netflix for the Sharknado movie

2015 is almost finished, a lot of things have happened to me this year,  for example  come to Vancouver and start this blog, but how about Netflix? This year the streaming service has expanded in different countries such as Australia, New Zeland, Japan, Italy, Spain and Portugal. Next year Netflix would be continuing its expansion into Asia by launching in Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea ( My South Korean  friends will be happy)   and Taiwan in early 2016, and the Philippines and Southeast Asia.

Anyway i already know the new releases are coming on January to the USA region, but before i forget, some important titles leaving the new year´s day, so this is your last week to watch these movies.

Christmas movies on Netflix II: Watch Home Alone on Netflix UK

homealone

If there is a  Christmas classic movie in the decade of the 90´s, that movie is Home Alone. Release in 1990, directed by Chris Columbus and starring by Joe Pesci and of course  Macaulay Culkin. The adventures of a kid when his parents forget him in Christmas, smashes the box office, with 285M$ only in USA, becoming the number 1 in the box office this year.

Now you can watch  it again with your kids and laugh like 25 years ago. The movie is available on Netflix UK and Netflix Spain.

Watch the all Star Wars Movies on Now TV

nowtv

Today is the premiere of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens , but only for the press and  people with invitation. The normal people need to wait until friday. Meanwhile you can watch the 6 movies of Star Wars in Now TV. The UK VOD service has a 14 day free trial and its available with unblock-us if you live outside UK.  Also you can watch A New Hope in Netflix México.

Watch Avengers: Age of Ultron on Netflix Canada

ultron

Avengers: Age of Ultron, one of the blocksbusters of the year is now available on Netflix Canada. The movie grosses worldwide $1,405,035,767. In USA is the second movie after Jurassic World (and this weekend will become the third because of Star Wars). If you are outside Canada, you need unblock-us to access to the Canadian region and enjoy this fantastic movie.

Christmas Movies on Netflix I. Watch Gremlins on Netflix Japan

31 years ago I  still  remember when my Mom took to me and my sister to the movies. We wanted to watch “Gremlins“. At that time, we didn´t know too much about that movie, we only saw the TV trailer, so my sister and I figured out Gremlins was a Xmas movie for kids… Then,  we convinced our mother to go to the cinema. When we arrived, there was a signal “This movie is not recommend for people under 13 years old”, so my mother was worried about that, “I think we need to choose another movie” she said. But one mother cant fight with 2 angry kids in the front of the cinema.

We enjoyed the movie of course, but sometimes i was afraid. The kitchen scene was so disgusting for me, and the ending of “Stripe” the same. I think my mother was so upset with that movie, she also regret that. Anyway that night i had strongs nighmares, and my parents was so angry with me because was my idea to see  the lovely Gremlins.  After that, I couldn´t forget Gizmo and Stripe. Its one of my favorite movies, I have seen  it a lot of times (in Spanish), but now i want to wach it in English. Its only available on Netflix Japan, so you need to change the region with unblock-us.

phoebe

The sequel, Gremlins 2, is not as good as the first one , and the producers are thinking to make  Gremlins 3 with Zach Gallican and Phoebe Cates . With the use of  CGI, i can imagine millions of bad gremlins in the middle of New York.

Netflix has 8 golden globe nominations

globes

Netflix has 8 nominations for the 2016 Golden Globe award. Narcos, Orange is the New Black, House of Cards, Bloodline and Beast of No Nation.  Amazon Video and Transparent are in the game as well.  (Jeffrey Tambor is awsome).  In the miniseries category i think the Season 2 of Fargo is amazing.

amazonshowtime

Good news for the #CordCutters. Now the Amazon Video Prime users can suscribe to Showtime and Starz Channels. The first week is free so you can try the service and then decide if you wanto to pay the monthly fee.

Showime: Known for Homeland. The Affair, Master of Sex, Ray Donovan, Penny Dreadful or Shameless. The price is 8,99$ after trial. Also you have more than 500 movies to watch on demand.

Starz:  You can watch the new series like  Ash vs Evil Dead, Outlander or all the seasons of Power, Black Sails, Spartacus, etc. The price is 8,99$ but the movie library is much better than Showtime, especially Disney catalogue like The Guardians of The Galaxy, Maleficent, Into the Woods or Big Hero 6.

These channels are not available in Canada, so if you want to watch Amazon Video with Showtime and Starz you need unblock-us.
